About heaven, hell and the law of attraction energy

On my Squidoo Lens How to Manifest Anything there is an article titled On Spirituality, Religion and the Creation of Our World. In that article he was discussing the teachings of Jesus and how they relate to the Manifestation. I will now continue the discussion and talk about the concepts of Heaven and Hell, and how they relate to the Law of Attraction Energy.

Consider that Jesus’ point was not that we become Christians and then get the prize that is the Kingdom of Heaven. After all, there was no such thing as Christianity at the time, so how could he possibly be arguing with that? So instead, suppose the point Jesus was making was that we become LIKE CHRIST. The point was that we follow the light of God within us, as Jesus taught. (And coincidentally as taught by Gandhi, Buddha, Martin Luther King Jr., and many other great spiritual leaders.) Suppose that when we become LIKE CHRIST, regardless of our religion, we have found eternal life. Because being CHRIST, in its highest sense, encompasses our light, and our love, and everything that is good and beautiful. And GOD is the life/light/love force in the universe. So he and we are eternal.

So, to follow this thought further, consider that you cannot get away from God, because God is within. You can’t turn off your light. It is impossible, because God cannot die. But you can hide your light under a bush. And you could do this for quite some time. But whatever you do, the fuse is still there, ready to be lit. Now all of us are made in the image and likeness of God, so all of us, like Jesus, have the ability to come back from the dead and take other forms. (See my other article mentioned above). And while it may take many lifetimes to light a particular candle, it will eventually light everyone’s.

Or put another way: Yes, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. But in GOD’s world, it is easy for a camel to go through the eye of a needle. For God, this is as easy as walking on water and feeding thousands of people with 7 loaves. So it is easy for a rich man, and for anyone else, to get to heaven because they are in God’s world, and indeed have God within them. So it follows that everyone will get to heaven. It’s easy, but Jesus made the good point that the craving for money and various other vices hinder the process.

So let’s talk about ‘judge not lest ye be judged’. Is there a GOD on high who sends half of his children to a fiery hell for some infraction, or because they didn’t pay him enough homage? If so, he is unlike any loving father I know. And indeed, this is like a pretty archaic idea of GOD, a fear-based version that goes back to the days of sacrificing humans on an altar. No, this is not a divine interpretation of God, but a human interpretation based on fear. GOD is divine and all compassionate, so HE doesn’t do that. HE is above that petty meanness. So who judges all the various unpleasant actions and words that humans are prone to?

I propose that we ourselves, or the God in use, judge us. The God within us, who at some point in the resurrection feels and knows our mistakes and atrocities, is our ultimate judge. This self-inflicted judgment then becomes a living hell that our loving, peace-seeking spirit must fight our way out of. Otherwise our spirit will not find peace, or in other words, it will not find heaven, it will be in hell.

Can you imagine, for example, someone like the mass murderer Ted Bundy when he died? Imagine him suddenly coming face to face with the spirit of God within him, against which he had operated so completely. Consider that God’s spirit of him, hidden and asleep in life, came to light when he died. And consider that this internal God had full capacity to judge his actions, or rather to finally make him see what he did in opposition to the God that is within him. Can you imagine the torture, the torment and the tearing of his soul? Can you imagine the agony that no outside force needs to manage? There would be no hell, no hell equal to this. Because where can a mass murderer find peace?

But I believe that peace eventually comes to all, someday when we have atoned for our past and done the right thing. Someday peace comes, and heaven comes. And it is not a heaven of ignorance, like the Garden of Eden. But a heaven of knowledge and power. It is a heaven where we can say that we have traveled many sordid paths to finally find our God of light. And it’s good, and we’re good. We, like Jesus and GOD, Buddha and Martin Luther King, are good.

Now, many philosophers today say that everything else, evil, meanness, pain and suffering, is all an illusion. It’s a bad dream we’ll all wake up from one day. Or as Shakespeare once said, an enlightened soul far beyond his age and time. It is a story told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, which means nothing. And I tend to believe this is true. Everything except love will pass and one day we will only have light and our existence.

So, to tie all of this back to the law of attraction energy, I’ve said a lot in previous writings about what makes us attract the good. I have given you many tools on how to get into that space. So here is one more tool. The concept that we are all linked to peace and working towards heaven, and that we will achieve it one day, is a positive concept. It includes all people, gives grace to all people for imperfection, does not put anyone above others, and honors a good that is sometimes not seen in all people. It also scares us a lot. We all want to believe that we are above another human being, and we use the fact that we do not do this or that evil to argue the point. But that very concept of being bigger than another person is a force to be opposed. It is simply not true according to any great philosopher or religious teacher that we say we follow. Also, it will attract the negative, because it is negative. But living from the point of view that we are all the same, only in various stages of enlightenment, will bring a kind of compassion, love and hope for all humanity. If we can live there, we will have to attract the good. If we can live there, by definition, we will live in the “law of attraction energy”.
