DOOGEE recently launched a new product that impressed me a lot, DOOGEE P1, a magical multi-functional portable LED projector. In case you didn’t know, DOOGEE, a Chinese electronics manufacturer, specializes in making cost-effective devices with micro-innovations for a better user experience.
This novelty looks like a Rubik’s cube, which is why people also call it DOOGEE Smart Cube P1. It is a projector that can be used to display movies and videos on the wall. Besides projection, it can also act as a mobile battery to charge other mobile devices thanks to the powerful 4800 mAh built-in battery. In addition, it runs a full version of the Android 4.4 operating system and is equipped with a quad-core processor, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory for storage. And it has built-in speakers, so you can use this device without a phone or any other additional device. Of course, it also supports Bluetooth headsets and USB connection.
Design and features
As mentioned above, this portable LED projector looks like a Rubik’s cube, which is a very eye-catching design. It has the dimensions of 62 x 62 x 62 mm, the same as the popular toy. It fits easily in your hand or in any pocket and purse. Additionally, DOOGEE Cube P1 weighs 290 grams. That is quite heavy for its small size.
On the front of the projector, there is a “DOOGEE” mark and a “Smart Cube P1” product name. On the right side, there is a USB port. On the left, there is the power button, the Micro-USB port and a wheel for adjusting the focus.
Specifications and performance
DOOGEE Cube P1 is a 70 lumens LED projector with a native resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. Of course, it’s not as good as the FULL HD projector, but DOOGEE P1 far exceeded my expectations.
Furthermore, it comes with a 4-core processor, Amlogic S805 CPU paired with a Mali T450 GPU, 8GB of internal memory, and 1GB of RAM. Although it is not the gadget with the best hardware, it has excellent speed.
And then I just want to mention, you have the USB port, which includes a 5-pin micro USB (Adapter) and a USB Type A. The micro USB can be used in OTG mode. That means it charges the smartphone through it. Also, this device establishes a Miracast, DLNA and Airplay.
Battery
Although the LED projector is small in size, it contains a dynamic and powerful battery with a capacity of 4800 mAh that provides at least 3 hours of use. And the devices can act as an emergency power bank.
