Bodybuilding Problem: Staying Consistent

The truth is that being consistent can be very difficult. It takes a lot of determination and willpower. See that consistency is not just about having consistent workouts. It’s all about consistently balancing the fundamentals. It means consistently going to the gym to train, sticking to your diet, and getting enough rest. I completely understand the big problem with this because I go through the exact same things.

First, I want to talk about consistency for rest and training. If you’re having trouble getting consistent rest, just try to stick to a similar sleep schedule. It can be tempting to stay up late on the weekends if you don’t have anything to do, but if you wear your body down enough during the day, you’ll wake up early and get plenty of rest.

Now to the hardest part, the diet. For years, she just trained hard and got enough rest. I would make sure to stick to a somewhat healthy diet. I made good choices overall, but I never felt guilty if I wanted to eat out or ate poorly at times. However, now I have realized how important diet is. I still train just as hard and rest enough, but now I’m in much better shape. The only factor I changed was the diet.

Just by changing my diet, I can see results much faster and my time in the gym means so much more. Besides the fact that I seem to be in much better shape, I also feel like I’m in much better shape. Giving up fast food and other unhealthy options makes me feel so much better on the inside. I have a lot more energy and that translates to many other aspects of my life. I have much more drive and willingness to get things done. I put it down simply to my diet. Knowing what role a diet plays helps me stay consistent.

Feeling better is a huge plus and helps me stay consistent because I want to feel good all the time. I can crave something unhealthy, but after eating I don’t feel well. In the past, when I gave in and ate something unhealthy, I not only feel bad about cheating on my diet, but I feel worse internally. Especially now that my body is used to eating healthy foods, unhealthy foods usually don’t feel very good. Also, I know that this will only have a negative effect on my appearance. Having those negative effects on my appearance and how inconsistency also negatively affects my mood, helps me stay consistent. When I am consistent and have a better overall physique, which in itself helps me to be consistent because I can see good results that make me push myself for more.

I really hope this article has put things into perspective and that you can learn from my experiences to be more consistent yourself!
