Caribbean Stud Poker – Walk into any online or world casino and you’ll be at a table

caribbean poker is a very popular table game that has seen a lot of action in casinos for over 30 years. It is found in almost all casinos that offer table games and also online. If you know the ranking of poker hands, it’s easy to learn and play.

How to play

The game is played on a blackjack table with six or seven seating areas. Each betting zone contains three positions for placing bets:

  1. One slot for optional progressive jackpot bet
  2. An Ante betting box
  3. A betting box (call)

The goal is for the player to have a higher ranking hand than the dealer.

A standard deck of 52 cards is used. Before the cards are dealt, all players must make the initial bet. An optional progressive jackpot bet can also be placed by inserting a dollar chip or coin into the appropriate slot. The dealer will then deal five cards face down to each player, and four cards face down and one card face up to him or her.

After the players review their hands, they must make the decision to call (make an additional bet), or fold, (you will lose the ante bet and the optional jackpot). If the player calls, he must place an additional bet in the betting box, which must be double the initial bet. After collecting the chips from the players who folded, the dealer will turn over all the cards.

Dealer Qualifier

The dealer must have at least an Ace/King or better to qualify to play. If the dealer does not qualify, All hands that called will win the ante at the same money. The call bet becomes a push and it will be returned to you.

If the dealer qualify, the hand is compared to each player’s hand. If the dealer beats the player, the house loses the ante and call bets. If the player beats the dealer, they are paid the same money for the initial bet. The call bet is paid according to a payout table that depends on the strength of the poker hand as follows:

  • A couple: even the country of money
  • Two Pairs – 2 to 1
  • Three of a kind – 3 to 1
  • Direct – 4 to 1
  • Flush – 5 to 1
  • Full House – 7 to 1
  • Four of a kind – 20 to 1
  • Straight flush – 50 to 1
  • Royal Flush – 100 to 1

Payments may vary between jurisdictions. Most casinos have a maximum table payout. Many are pegged at $5,000.
