Young Talent Development
The IBB Young Talent Development Program is an initiative that supports the professional development of young people and prepares them for business life. In its first year, the program was a success, reaching 1.500 participants. In the second year, the program was expanded to include sport, bringing the number of participants to 200. The aim of the program is to make the young people more marketable and more prepared for business.
The Talent Development Program involves exposure to senior leaders and faculty-led leadership development sessions, as well as one-on-one coaching sessions with the Center for Workplace Learning and Development. This program is free and runs from October through April, with approximately 10 hours of commitment each month. Generally, participants are high-performers two levels below a vice president, but with potential for upward mobility.
The program includes a variety of activities, including group mentoring with University leaders and faculty-led leadership development sessions. Additionally, participants will benefit from individual coaching sessions with the Center for Workplace Development. The training runs for 10 hours a month, and is available to individuals and teams of young professionals. It is open to all employees at the University, and participants are generally high performers within the organization. The aim is to help these young professionals become future leaders and to advance their careers.
