Mia Moda Energi Stroller Review

I have four daughters. I have tried three strollers, so when it came to choosing my fourth and final stroller, I wanted to choose wisely. After many hours of reading online, testing strollers in baby stores, and endless price comparisons, my husband and I finally decided to bite the bullet and purchase the Mia Moda Energi stroller. I knew my final stroller would have to be sturdy, but I also wanted one that would make a statement. Call me vain, but after four kids, I wanted to have something nice for her to ride.

All-terrain European design without the high price tag:

We live on the beach, so we needed a three-wheel stroller that could push through sand and dirt paths. I have had my Mia Moda Energi Stroller for over a year and have found that it will go through dirt, potholes and sand. Its suspension ensures that your baby will not feel anything. In fact, I often use it on long drives on our dirt roads. At first, I was afraid that the wheels would be plastic. However, after a year of using my Mia Moda, all three wheels have not shown much wear. Also, I don’t have to add air to them, which is an added bonus.

Although this stroller is made in Pennsylvania, its European design offers style and practicality. Its Mercedes Benz-like wheels draw attention every time I pull out my stroller. Its curved nickel-colored frame adds a European touch. The Willow pattern is so awesome that I constantly have people asking me where I bought this unique stroller. But best stroller quality – my daughter loves the smooth ride, the padding is superior, the harness never tangles and I have an effortless push as this stroller seems to glide. It spins on a dime thanks to its swivel front wheel.

An all-in-one travel system:

When I bought my stroller, I bought the entire travel system. The infant seat is ultralight and great for fitting into small vehicles. The car seat clips effortlessly onto the stroller. It is released with one hand. Once securely attached to the stroller, both canopies (one for the stroller and one for the car seat) expand to create a comfortable, weather-resistant stroller perfect for newborns. If you’re not looking for a baby travel system, then the Mia Moda Energi Stroller will work just fine for a baby 6 months and older.

Easy to fold?

With four children, time is of the essence. I have an SUV and I love that this three wheel stroller is more compact than other designs on the market. I can pull my stroller out of my SUV with one hand. After the safety clip is released, my stroller opens. However, my front tray has taken a bit of abuse. Perhaps this would not happen if you were more careful when opening it. The cable break system is also a novelty added to the line of three-wheel strollers. Rest assured, no barrier is found in traditional strollers. Mia Moda threads the cable through the fabric to the front wheel. This makes it easy to fold.

Added bonuses:

I have found that with my previous strollers, cheap parts lead to their quick demise. So far this has not been the case with my Mia Moda. The removable kid’s tray is ideal for snack time on the go. I especially like the parent console. I can safely put my car keys and sunglasses in the console and close the lid. The cup holder is also a great feature for moms and dads on the go.

I’ve saved the best for last – if you’re tall, you’ll love this stroller. His adjustable handlebar allows you to get the most comfortable arm position for your height, short or tall. I can adjust the handlebars so my husband (who is 6 feet tall) or eight year old daughter can comfortably push our stroller. I am tall so this feature is a must for me. I can also hang my diaper bag on the handlebars of my stroller without it falling backwards.

Overall, this is a great stroller for under $160. If you are looking for a unique and practical three-wheel stroller, you can try the Mia Moda Energi stroller. I’m pretty sure you won’t see many like this. They are only sold online.
