Sloppy Health Advice

There are many places to find good health advice, whether it’s on the Internet or in a book. I’m going to go over a few different tips that are important, but sometimes get overlooked. As I say in most of my health and fitness articles, the advice I give is not difficult or boring. They will make being healthy and fit an easy thing to do. You will be surprised.

Something that will help you is to add some kind of fitness to your life. It doesn’t have to be strenuous or exhausting in any way. It can be as simple as walking around your block. Adding this to your schedule helps on many levels. It gives you a chance to get outside and get some fresh air. Helps keep your body active, many different muscles will stay stimulated. Walking in the fresh air also gives you a chance to open your chest and breathe deeply. Many people I talk to too, who use walking in their daily routine, tell me that it not only does wonders for their body, but for their mind as well. They say that being alone outside gives them time to think and really take their mind off stress. Give it a try; with this simple advice of good health you will notice a big difference.

One self-explanatory good health tip is to stop eating out. I’m not saying that all places you eat out are unhealthy, but chances are most of them are not good for your health. Typically, places to eat out tend to use a lot of processed foods and contain tons of salts. If you find yourself at a fast food place, try and eat one of their healthy alternatives. Now, even the least healthy food restaurants will have a couple of healthy options on their menu.

Another piece of advice comes with a simple and common word, water. yes water; most people, young and old, do not get their daily water needs. Again, a very simple good health tip that works wonders. Start drinking more water instead of the usual sugary drinks. Some examples are coffee, soft drinks, and juices. Of course, it’s unrealistic to completely eliminate these things from your diet, but rather try to swap some of them out for water. About 8 glasses of water a day is a healthy amount. Get into the routine of drinking water with you. If you take water with you, you don’t have to go buy a liter of soda at the corner store.

My last good health tip comes with little explanation. When you eat, eat slowly. Most people eat like wild animals. Enjoy your food and let your body take it easy, don’t force it and let your body have to suffer. You will notice that when you eat slower, you don’t eat as much. Eating slowly will give your body a chance to tell you when it’s full, instead of eating it all quickly and your body won’t have a chance to tell you to stop. Eat slowly, your food will taste better!!
