Griffiths Park Observatory is a local icon, but it can sometimes be overlooked by foreign tourists. Located on East Observatory Road, it features several exhibits to keep even the biggest science buff entertained.

Be sure to look through one of their telescopes to scan the night sky. About seven million people have looked through the Zeiss refracting telescope since it opened in 1935. It allows you to take a closer look at the moon, planets, and special events, such as Halley’s Comet. It’s certainly an unusual place to head to once the sun goes down in Los Angeles.
