Located within the fringes of wild Dartmoor, this pub is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day of walking through the seemingly endless surrounding countryside. With an excellent menu and a fine selection of drinks, Church House is a traditional inn that also boasts several genuine wood-burning fireplaces that you and your dog will enjoy warming up beside. Although dogs must be leashed at all times, they probably won’t mind after they’re exhausted from their hike, which you should be sure to include a trip to the nearby historic Dart River.

3) Once you are ready for a day of rest after walking in the countryside, a good option would be to visit the beautiful gardens of arlington court. Dogs on leashes are allowed, allowing both of you to enjoy the beautiful and informal thirty acres of the site, including its large walled garden, conservatory and ornamental pond. Arlington Court also has shops and restaurants for you to take your time exploring. Nestled amongst the stunning forested valley of the Yeo River, this is one dog-friendly attraction definitely not to be missed.
