The Hyundai Accent is a car manufactured by the South Korean automaker Hyundai. It is sold as the Verna in South Korea. It is also sold as the Hyundai Excel in Australia. Excel is the name used by Accent’s predecessor. Hyundai replaced Accent with Verna in South Korea in 2000. Accent-branded cars are still sold in many countries around the world.

Hyundai came to India after the liberalization of the Indian economy. The company designed its first Hyundai Santro car in the country. He hired film actor Shahrukh Khan as a brand ambassador for Santro and popular with Indian car buyers.

Hyundai has been very successful in the Indian market. The company has become the second largest automaker in India after market leader Maruti Suzuki. The car’s LPG gas kit has been approved by the Department of Explosives (DOE) and the Automotive Research Authority of India. The new Accent is powered by a 1.5 liter engine.
